So, I have huuuuge Scrapgirl respect for Sarah Barber of Sarah Barber Design. I hesitate to say favorite, because I love so many, but her artistic eye for color, texture and placement is genius. So, my mom is of an age. Well, she turned 75 about a week ago. My mom is a gentle, kind and wonderful woman. Not quite as sassy as me, but she has her moments. She loves WWII, 1940′s music and the moment I saw Wyld Web Designs’ Apple Blossom Time, I knew it was for her. It’s so pretty (insert singsongy tune here)…I’ll be with you, in Apple Blossom Time….Thank you to the Andrews Sisters for this timeless wonder…

So, I haven’t shared much about me because I pretty much want this to be a scrapbooking site. But something came to my attention today that I’d like to share. I was looking on the internet for cool things to share with you and I came across Digital Scrapbooking at Statements by Jodi. She had an article about autism. My son has Asperger’s Syndrome which is a form of autism. So, of course, it was a must read for me. Well, because I am so familiar with autism, the article was like many I have read before. But, below the article, was a scrapbooking kit for Autism Awareness. I cried. When my son was a baby, people weren’t even talking about Aspergers or even Autism that much for that matter. So, it is beautiful to see that people are finally getting the word out. Thank you Jodi, for your wonderful kit. Support Autism Awareness by sending Jodi’s link to everyone you know!

I think Yin has some really cool templates and what I really love about them is that they use lots of pictures in them! I’m really bad about using too many pictures and this is the perfect way to do it! Go visit Yin’s site, you’ll love her designs!
